Just a quick two gripes that I feel the need to share….
Within the NHS we have a variety of “e-learning providers” who develop content at a national level. The purpose of this is that these packages can be deployed to all NHS organisations for the benefit of all staff.
However, to access these you need to either access them via the NLMS, or via a stand-alone LMS which the individual provider supplies/maintains.
Gripe #1 – Why can’t these providers (who are all centrally funded by the NHS) provide their content in SCORM format so us organisations can load it into our own Learning Management Systems?
Gripe #2 – Do these providers not know there’s another world out there which doesn’t include “click-next” e-learning?? I’ve yet to see anything innovative from these suppliers…..
